Mostly by building. Its latest purchase is a 60% stake in Elcome, a naval and maritime electronics company, bought for ₹235 crore, with the remaining 40% to follow under an agreement already signed. It has joint ventures with Kaga of Japan and Elemaster of Italy, and is building a bare circuit-board plant in Andhra Pradesh due to start production in April 2027, with a government incentive available for half its capital cost.
Mostly by building. ₹1,200 crore has gone into semiconductor packaging and circuit boards so far, with ₹850 crore budgeted this year and ₹170 crore of government subsidy received on the semiconductor side. Acquisitions run alongside: August Electronics in North America, and Sensonic, an Austrian railway signalling software firm. Both new plants are due to produce from the December quarter.
