How to read a concall
Always do the sum yourself
A transcript is typed from a recording, and slips happen. In this call's transcript, the revenue growth reads 16.3%. The two figures in the same sentence, ₹650.1 cr and ₹300.6 cr, work out to 116%.
The call's ₹650.1 cr is total income: sales of ₹642 cr plus other income of ₹8 cr. The filing shows the two separately.

Concall: common questions
What does concall mean?
Concall is short for conference call. After its quarterly results, a company's top managers speak on a call with investors and analysts. They explain the results and answer questions.
What is a concall in the stock market?
It is the earnings call a listed company holds after its results. Anyone can usually listen in, and the company must upload the recording or transcript to the stock exchange.
Where can I find a concall transcript?
On the company's website in the investors section, and in the company's announcements on the NSE and BSE websites, usually within a few days of the call.
How do you read a concall transcript?
Read the opening remarks for the reasons behind the numbers. Then read the questions: they show what worries investors. Note any plans and targets, and check them against the next quarters' results.
Is a concall more reliable than the results filing?
No. The filing has the official, reviewed numbers. The call adds reasons and plans, in management's own words. Use the filing for numbers and the call for context.
